After 15 years of construction, the Eglinton LRT will finally open on Feb 8th. Transit expansion is the dream. But Metrolinx’s incompetence, delays, cost overruns and how communities & businesses were treated like collateral damage, was a nightmare that can never be repeated.

It matters that your bus or streetcar shows up when you need it. Bunching & gapping leads to overcrowding, inefficient service & more congestion. I’m grateful my motion was approved to expand the TTC’s Bunching & Gapping Pilot to routes across the city.

Film #01 of 2026, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery!

I could easily watch a dozen films with Blanc solving whatever case is thrown at him, but knowing Josh O'Connor probably won't be in the next one is a bit of a heartache. They're great together.

A ★★★★ review of Wake Up Dead Man (2025)
Good... Blanc, along with Jud, make for a lovely combo with the counterbalance between them being worth the watch.

🧵Doug Ford and major Canadian employers have been busy implementing blanket return-to-office policies that unions oppose. In the @theconversation.com , @mmaroto.bsky.social @amykaler.bsky.social and I show how these policies harm workers and contribute to our multiple ongoing public health crises.
As back-to-school season approaches, Canadian employers are making a mistake by mandating workers back to the office
Remote-work flexibility has supported workplace equity helped limit outbreaks of respiratory infections. Back-to-offices mandates could erase those gains, especially with lowered vaccination rates.

More Toronto councillors & mayors need to speak in this language. Make the opponents to safe streets for all say they don’t care about a certain number of deaths & life changing injuries. Every time. Ask them what their threshold number is.
Saving lives and preventing catastrophic accidents is much more important than saving a few seconds on your drive. Everyone deserves to get home safe every day.
