I help people tell stories.
HTMLLIElement is the most difficult interface to type in all of JavaScript. It takes inordinate concentration to get the caps correct, and even when you nail it, it never looks right.

Spatchcocked a chicken for the first time today. I feel like half Carmy from The Bear, half Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat.

Not usually a conspiracy theory believer, but I’m pretty sure the guy behind the deli counter swapped my usual ham with an inferior brand.

When the Patriot Act was passed, libraries got requests for patrons’ borrowing history. We were prohibited from disclosing those requests.

We deleted and shredded those records and stopped tracking reading history for that reason.

Being one who strongly dislikes the gym, my single greatest motivation to go is:

a) set out gym clothes the night before.
b) change into those gym clothes as soon as you’re up.

Something Jedi-mindtricky about this practice compels you to think “Welp, I’m dressed for the gym—I might as well go.”

There’s lots of talk—and follow-through—around deleting social media accounts in protest. Deleting’s both cool and warranted. But can I propose something else?

Let ’em rot.

Despite how much we’re told otherwise, it’s okay to want things to be real.

Clawing out from hibernation.

I ate some phenomenal meals. Burned many cozy fires. Drank a lot of coffee and wine.

Wished I’d eaten more cranberries, but if that’s my one holiday lament, I’ll gladly endure it.

This is gonna be a fun little time warp.

Me, trying to fold a fitted sheet for ten minutes:

“You know what? This is a *very* reasonable attempt. It even looks mostly folded. Onward!”

I lowered my office chair armrests on a whim this morning and felt massive levels of tension escape. I’d been imprisoning my shoulders in needless stress for decades.

Today I realized nodejs’s filesystem methods like `copyFileSync` don’t copy dotfiles.

Which explains a whole lotta frustration in weeks of late.
