I think he kinda looks like Tom Hanks as Walt Disney…

I think the risk would be that the canoes *are not* on a track. I went on the canoes for the first time just a couple of years ago. It was missing a few features - the rapids(?) - and seemed focused on making everyone row (though I’m sure most people would stop rowing just to look around.)

I think a lot of folks have internal ad blockers - we remember things the way we want to remember them rather than the way that they actually were.

The cost is still winding its way to the consumer. Businesses can't absorb it, so they'll increase prices. Consumers will either bear the cost or go without. I suspect we'll see a lot of lost sales and closed businesses. Federal revenue will drop. We'll see it probably at the start of next year

Me too - I literally gasped.

I love this! What kind tools did you use to put this together? I recall a guy at a tech meetup about 15 years ago showing a projection mapping tool he'd put together (in Adobe Flash, of all things) but I think the space has grown a bit since then :)

This is my assumption. When I was in Automotive and we were working on localization for the infotainment system, the layout was also (mostly) RTL for Arabic, whereas other languages went LTR.

I’m pretty sure this is a portrait of Barbara Streisand… it was on Wikipedia.

I frequently order electronics components from a state-side supplier. The tariff in this receipt is from the first Trump Administration's tariff's. If I had ordered this from China directly, I would have avoided the tariff cost due to De Minimis exceptions, but those are going away too.

My wife described this kind of activity as being the responsible, loving, compassionate parent to the child you were because the adults around you weren't. I've found it to be an incredibly empowering way to care for myself. (Though mine has not been therapeutically directed)

An “indexed stop” is a stop at a particular given position. This could be something like a loading position for a Ferris wheel or bringing a car up to the next available position to load or unload passengers. It’s different from a stop which is “stop all motion right now”.

I started going through my internal list and noticed a surprising correlation. Then I thought "Oh right, he grew up here too..."

Even though I've been to the park many many times, my first time in the Canoes was only a couple of years ago. Great attraction.

And we might be facing a substantial reduction in tourism from outside the US.

I associate it most closely with Frontierland just because The Grand Canyon correlates to that. But I also don't really think of it being in a land. I also don't think of the train belonging to a land (though thinking on the Train, I mostly associate it with Main Street USA)

I've enjoyed my Pi Picos, I'm just getting started on my first RP2040 design. I've not done any compiled languages on them - it's all been MicroPython or CircuitPython.
