Into Darkness was a neat concept that moved the alternate universe idea forward but JJ ruined it by trying to be cheeky. And it’s why Beyond failed so hard.
Mine: Insurrection is the only TNG film where we see the crew act and behave towards each other like on the show for extended periods and gives them all something to do and largely avoids becoming the "Picard and Data" show the most of the films.
