It is WEIRD to live for 40ish years and think you get it and then read an article that seems to explain a facet of your personality that you always relegated to quirk status. I cannot watch horror movies/some violent content because it sticks with me, perhaps to an unusual degree.

Lying in bed trying to doomscroll with my right hand while offsetting* that by petting my dog with my left hand. My right thumb is currently bandaided so phone usage is now a two handed endeavor, thus depriving my dog of pets. Who is worse off, me or her?

We have a “smart” home heating system and I hate this thing with the fire of a thousand suns because all I want is to turn it the fuck on for like five minutes and then off again and that shit just is not possible via this stupid app

My dog threw up all over our main couch so it’s out of commission but we have a backup couch (street couches ftw) now moved into where the old one was and I’m just really enjoying the chaos introduced by all this. I’m this close to bringing back tables that are actually ikea boxes in good condition.
