I feel like this makes it seem like Republicans were agency-less in this shutdown. Like I don't think voters are going to "reward" Republicans because Democrats tried to get a concession and failed especially when its still voters who will get the higher premiums because of Republicans.

Just now: The plaintiffs who were arguing that Utah GOP's congressional map is illegal won in court.
The judge orders one of the two maps submitted by the plaintiffs ('map 1') be used.
The ruling, if it stands, guarantees that Democrats will pick up a congressional seat in Utah next year.

I think its pretty plausible tbh, I don't think they were ever getting a GOP trifecta to cave on something they don't want and ultimately that only leads to one logical conclusion?

Chris Murphy or Chris Van Hollen would be better. It'll probably eventually be Schatz who I dislike but would still be an upgrade.

He also says that there was a subset of Dems that never wanted to gift Trump the gift of extending the subsidies but obviously they can't say that publicly
