to her credit, making huge portions of sweets and freezing them was more common when we were kids.

she had a sweet tooth as well, and on two occasions, ended up consuming two full, 4-serving brownie edibles because she didn't understand why my sister was storing baked goods in the freezer. the second time, she gave some to her grandson.

my mother thrived on bargain hunting, and thought she was getting a great deal for three pounds of "rocky mountain oysters". they were bull testicles, and of course she ate them anyway. then the seller started crank calling her and breathing heavily until she yelled at him a bunch.

somehow i ended up with degrees in "fine" art, gallery management, and database administration. i guess i am what one might call "interdisciplinary".

later, i went back to school for my dba, took an art class because what the hell, and ended up falling in love with the field, and am now underemployed, like most other artists. i used to run figure labs for the college until the pandemic, and now i do art repair and gig data entry...

imo just a simple attraction to power. though his actions are monstrous, he doesn't really care about ideology or have any stable values, except as means to more power.

her critics weren't the problem, her milktoast campaign, and support (or genocide) and lack of support (for trans people) was. even with michigan's large arabic population, harris still would not have won.
