Reason number 5237 that spies aren’t ADHD… Well, the moment this hit our group chat it kinda turned into seventeen different conversations and one of them ended in a career change. (Don’t worry, she’s doing fine)

Anybody else feel like this was just written about them??

Emotions can feel bigger and hit faster with ADHD—and that’s not a flaw. You’re not alone, and it’s not hopeless.

Tools like therapy can help you gain control of that Ferrari brain and build a life you truly deserve (yes, the good one—not the imposter syndrome version).

Part 1 - My ADHD brain looking at a 3-minute task: “Ah yes. A project for Future Me. She’ll love that.”

It’s not that we don’t care. It’s that the moment we try to start, the brain opens 47 tabs labeled “what if,” “do it perfectly,” and “actually let’s lie down instead.”

-sigh-

Ok, this is HOW many animated ADHD icons that were accidentally created in the 2000s so far?... We’ve lost track.

Either way, Scrat was the epitome of how we felt falling into black holes of research when we were younger and now we’ve finally got a word for it: hyperfocus!

End-of-year anything is rough. At this point, you’ve already run the hyperfocus-crash cycle too many times… yeah? Yeah. Let’s try again in January. 🧠😮‍💨✨

ADHD motivation be like:

Day 1: “I have unlocked god-tier focus and will rebuild my entire life by midnight.”

Day 3: staring at one email like it’s a tax audit.

If you struggle to focus, move from ideas to action, or manage everyday ADHD challenges—you’re not alone. Neurofeedback can help train your brain to focus and act more easily.

Can’t afford sessions? There are at-home tools too, and we’ll share more here soon.

You didn’t know you had so much in common with a cucumber, did you? Now if only we could find a way to copy his style…

The holiday season really puts decision fatigue in 4K. I use 100% of my executive function for the smallest of things, and then that’s all we got, folks! One order? Fine.

A clarifying question? Absolutely not! 🎄🧠✨

Let’s be real: your brain doesn’t need fixing. You’re not broken or sick. What can help is more control over instincts and urges—and that’s where mindfulness comes in. After last week’s overview, here’s a deeper intro to mindfulness and how it can support your ADHD brain.

Ever had a “quick decision” turn into a full mental shutdown? 😶‍🌫️

Pick lunch, pick a task, pick anything—and suddenly your brain is exhausted. Here’s why it happens with ADHD, plus a few tips to stop every choice from becoming a boss fight. ❤️

Your brain isn’t dramatic on purpose.

It just jumps straight from “fine” to “panic” because the middle gear wasn’t installed.

Mindfulness and emotional regulation aren’t about calming down…they’re about teaching your brain what “steady” feels like.

Serious or not, this is ADHD decision-making in action. One thought becomes five tasks, then suddenly you’re organizing piles, doing laundry, starting a grocery list, deep-cleaning the stove and still haven’t picked dinner.

This is why a choice can take 45 minutes until takeout saves the day.

Therapy is humbling because many emotional regulation skills boil down to this: “No one is mad at you. You’re not in trouble. You’re safe.”

It’s not glamorous, but realizing your brain defaults to danger mode—and slowly rewiring it—is quietly life-changing. 🧠✨

ADHD can feel like a system that’s hard to operate. Many people spend years feeling stuck, unable to access therapy or medication.

So we’re starting a two-week series focused on tools you can use at home to improve ADHD management and better run your adhd i-os.

It’s like my brain has its own personality sometimes…

If you’ve ever said that, you’re not alone. Yesterday our editor was trying to wrangle it away from her hyperfixation (this is posting today, can you tell what her level of success was??) and today we’re all a little… Skitter-y.

Ever wish your brain had a focus-training mode instead of pure chaos? 🙃

That’s basically neurofeedback. Your brain waves get read, the game or movie only responds when you shift into focus, and your brain learns, “Oh, this is what focus feels like.”

Have you tried it yet, or just curious? 👀

Nobody even has to tell you that medication is an option when you receive your ADHD diagnosis, but has anyone ever sat down and explained what ADHD medication does so you’re not afraid of using it? We sure didn’t get the sit-down, so here it is.. In under 65 seconds!
December 9, 2025 at 3:24 PM
ADHD brain: “Real-time brainwave rewards?? Incredible.”

Also ADHD brain: “We will NOT be reading the pricing page.”

Look, neurofeedback isn’t magic, FDA-approved, or a one-size-fits-all fix…but if you tell my brain there’s a game that reacts to my focus levels, I’m at least clicking the FAQ tab.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving hits weird: your body’s still 80% stuffing and December pops in like, “Hey bestie! Time to be festive, productive, emotionally stable… cool?” Meanwhile you’re in the corner trying to breathe and December’s like, “Great, now notice everything.” Good luck to us all. 🎄✨🧠
