🚨 SAVE THE DATE: OCTOBER 18.

Millions of Americans took to the streets in June to drown out Trump’s birthday parade.

As Trump’s regime escalates his authoritarian power grab, we’re gathering again on 10/18 for a nationwide day of peaceful protests to say NO KINGS: www.nokings.org?SQF_SOURCE=i...

This whole thread is amazing
So there's someone arguing about using people's requested pronouns with the sentence, "no one can compel or coerce me to use or not use certain words. I decide what I say and how I say it."

Which... fine. That's a stance a person can take. I could even see there being some merit to it as a policy.

This is certainly the tism talking but I find so much joy in curiosity and the process of learning that the idea of wanting to outsource thinking to a machine is unfathomable to me

That’s the fun part! Why wouldn’t you want to do that?

Andry Hernández Romero, the innocent make-up artist imprisoned without trial for 4 months in El Salvador by the Trump admin, is FREE.

He was wrongfully accused of being a gang member because of his “mom” and “dad” tattoos, and illegally sent to El Salvador without due process.

This is, very likely, the absolute best thing you can read on this Fourth of July today...

"The Declaration... contains a long list of grievances... Sadly, many of these are relevant to Donald Trump's abuses of power today"
Trump vs. the Declaration of Independence
Several of the items on the Declaration's list of grievances against King George III also apply to Donald Trump today.

1. Alert, and please share widely. A lawyer at the ACLU has asked me to inform my transgender readers that they should NOT be applying for passports right now - the state department has not issued guidance to comply with the court order and they are urgently trying to get them to do so.
🧵
I am getting multiple reports that the Trump admin is NOT complying with the court order requiring passport updates for transgender people.

Some passport agencies are being told not to give trans people passports with their correct gender marker, for now.
#Trans folks in the US who are reapplying for their passport to be fixed. Don't bother. Just had an emergency appointment today (I travel on the 30th) and they cannot issue me a corrected #passport. All decisions regarding this 'issue' are on hold until they receive guidance from the head office.

I’m quoted here regarding the ethics in not disclosing to students and defense contractors that their information may have been leaked in an Indiana University data breach. Still no word of a third party investigator being engaged. Dear Internet, do your thing. www.ipm.org/news/2025-07...
Administrator says IU will never explain IT security breach publicly
For more than three weeks, Indiana University websites have been down, disrupting and frustrating the university community.

Look. Listen to me. I know internet dunk culture provides cheap, plentiful feel-good chemicals. But it also amplifies the reach of so many terrible horrible people so you can't. You gotta say no, I am putting this down and walking away to get my chemicals somewhere else.
yall do not engage, argue with, put on blast, et al, dumbasses who can't wait to say "they voted for this!" about states struck by disaster. block them. block them the 2nd you see their garbage. take joy in knowing that you are limiting their toxic reach. they are dumbasses. they belong on twitter.

As much as Trump wants to appear all-powerful, he is an unpopular lame-duck president who just signed into law the worst piece of legislation in modern American history.

But we don’t just have to sit back and take it. Instead, we choose to organize.
