Shocked to see how many people still are on X. That platform is beyond absurd.

For some reason I never clicked with Final Fantasy VI as much as I thought I should - I always recognised it was good, but it never fully clicked with me. Until now! Currently playing the Pixel Remaster and wow, what a fantastic experience.

Took me a second to realise that my son was humming Splash Wave from Outrun, which also made me realise that I'm raising him right

I can also just not use Spotify and ridicule people for having no taste. Sorry if you’re cool with Ai gen music then you have the eclectic nuanced taste of concrete.

This gave me a proper chuckle. In all seriousness, I've always felt that the strength of streaming services lies in the ability to discover new music that you might not have otherwise encountered. But as a primary source for listening to music? Nah.
Spotify can't "force" you to do anything if you know this 1 easy trick:

It's Bandcamp Friday! That means if you buy abything, Bandcamp waive their cut of the sale. Which is neat!

So... if you haven't checked out Unrealism yet, now is a great time to dip in.

Regardless of your stance on AI, ultimately we have to accept that humans were responsible for creating Mrs. Brown's Boys. And in that regard, AI will always be superior.

Made chilli dogs for dinner because my kid is super into Sonic. I'm literally feeding his obsession.

Yesterday I walked 26 miles as part of Cancer Research UK's Big Hike 2025 around the Peak District - and my legs feeling it today! Photos don't do it justice, but it was a gorgeous route.

There's still time to donate if you haven't already - every little helps. I'll pop a link in the comments.

One of the most worrying trends I see online is self-censorship. It seems there are 2 reasons people do it - one is to avoid using words that could be triggering (which is at least a noble idea), and the other is to appease "the algorithm" (which is absolutely fucking dystopian).

In 2020 I put together some music-making livestreams.

Turns out one of these tracks was the start of a new album - Unrealism. My love letter to late 90s/early 00s jungle/DnB through a modern lens.

Unrealism is available to stream on most major streaming platforms now.

With all the discussion surrounding SoundCloud's use and/or mis-use of music uploaded to the site, I feel like we've sort of forgotten the many other ways in which SoundCloud kinda sucks these days.

Higher Worlds is the sixth track from "Unrealism", which is out on the 15th May.

This was one of the later tracks written for the album, and sets the stage for the second "act" of the album with crispy breaks, squelchy synths, and a more driving feeling.

Thank you so much to everyone who's pre-ordered Unrealism or checked out the track "Select Transmission" so far! There's just over a week to go until the full album is released, and I'll be sharing another track from the album in the very near future.

For now, here's another taste of things to come

Just heard the news about Starcadian's passing - I'm at a loss for words. I was hooked on his music after watching his wonderful video for HE^RT many moons ago, and he always seemed like a wonderful, down to earth guy in the few exchanges we had. RIP Starcadain.

Select Transmission is the second track from my upcoming album "Unrealism", which is out on the 15th May.

This was one of the first tracks written for the album. It's a combo of deep, ethereal atmospheres and rolling breakbeats with a PSX/PS2-type flair.
