For some reason I never clicked with Final Fantasy VI as much as I thought I should - I always recognised it was good, but it never fully clicked with me. Until now! Currently playing the Pixel Remaster and wow, what a fantastic experience.

Yesterday I walked 26 miles as part of Cancer Research UK's Big Hike 2025 around the Peak District - and my legs feeling it today! Photos don't do it justice, but it was a gorgeous route.

Turns out one of these tracks was the start of a new album - Unrealism. My love letter to late 90s/early 00s jungle/DnB through a modern lens.

Decided I wanted some 90s Roland sounds in my life, but hated using Roland Cloud... so I picked up this little chappy. My intention was basically to use it as a "preset box", but it turns out there's a decent Windows patch editor and it's a piece of cake to program so... winner!

After about a decade of use I'm finally retiring my faithful MX Master mouse. I opened it up to fix the scroll whee, and the rubber gesture pad fell apart. It still works, but I'd rather hang onto it as a backup.

Of course, if anyone knows where I can source a replacement rubber pad I'm all ears!

Last month I had some time to work on something I’ve been meaning to do for a while. It’s a remix, and you get bonus points if you recognise it. I’ll be releasing it later this month.

I thought it'd be fun to create an early-mid 90s inspired industrial patch/sound bank. Alas, one of the staples of the genre is the use of sampled dialog from old films - naturally, I couldn't just sample a movie and stick it in there, so... I decided to make my own video nasty inspired samples!
