Skinner isn't good enough to get the Oilers to the promised land without a lot of help, and Pickard isn't good enough to help him. Replacing Skinner with a 1A or trading Skinner in a package for a goalie good enough to let Pickard purely be the backup are actual solutions.

2) Schwartz... wasn't given an awful lot to work with at times. The vast list of mediocre options that came and went definitely isn't all on him.
3) This shouldn't let management off the hook for failing to address the goaltending for yet another offseason.

I've worked hard over the years to develop a pseudo grouchy, mostly unfriendly resting he-bitch face, and lately it's been a great deal less effective. This concerns me a great deal. I don't WANT to look approachable.

The key word in your post is "lost". They need to come back better than they've been. Mangiapane is a nice addition but right now they're worse than the team they iced last year.

I’m a Perbix truther. Like Eyssimont and Koepke too. I feel there were quite a few value additions for the bottom six and bottom two pairings out there. No top sixer I’m too upset on missing out on, but the bottom six does need help. It’s one established 3rd liner and a bunch of duct tape presently.
