I have two quibbles with the Goodreads choice awards nominees: Gracie Gold should have been nominated for Best Memoir, and The Favorites is in the wrong category (it’s not a romance).

I decided on Chloé early on, it just felt right for her.
BUT originally she was Chloé Martin from France. I made her Canadian instead, because I wanted the skating tour to visit her hometown. When I did, I changed her last name to LaFleur as an homage to Guy Lafleur.
