Time is running out on Trump’s Epstein cover-up. Let’s secure a veto-proof majority on the bipartisan vote for the full release of the Epstein Files — if you’ve got a Republican representative, make sure they hear from you: act.indivisible.org/sign/epstein...

we're all tired of the, frankly, bullshit candidates that tend to run in seats like this. R+10 often gets you some suit with rich friends and a platform written by someone who's never been to the state. That's not what's happening here.

Aftyn's the real deal.

Despite the length of this thread, we're sure we missed stuff (both wins and actions), so feel free to reply with what we missed.

And whatever agreement is reached to open the government must include Congress reasserted its authority over taxes and spending, and over the power to declare war.

4) There's been talk this week of some Dem Senators being ready to compromise with the GOP and vote for the terrible House bill to open the government. Let your Dem Senators know that after yesterday, there is no reason to compromise on this until the House comes back.

3) Make sure we are running solid candidates everywhere. Dems ran a full slate of 100 candidates for the Virginia House of Delegates, and have won some races no one expected. You can't win the races you don't run.

2) The media should now be asking how the GOP needs to moderate to respond to these results. If you don't see that locally, write a letter to the editor asking why you're not seeing stories and opinion pieces about it.

Actions:

1) Breathe. It's been a really hard year and this was the biggest signal yet that we can win in the long run. Get some sleep, celebrate, and replenish your energy for the long fight ahead.

Similarly, it won't be surprising if we see a few less extreme GOP members of the US House start pushing back against Speaker Johnson's extremism. 23/

The GOP push for redistricting may have been killed yesterday. If you're a GOP Rep in a +15 district, you're not going to want that to become a +5 district in this environment. 22/

The Democratic party is a BIG tent. We have room for Democratic Socialists like Mamdani and for moderates like Spanberger and Sherrill. The key to winning is to run the right candidate in the right place. 21/

Young men are not permanently MAGA. While they didn't give Spanberger and Sherrill the same margins that young women did, they did overwhelmingly vote for them. 20/
