If you want to read about why Democratic campaign operations get campaigns wrong and what we should be doing (in my opinion) this is a good one.

For too long we have relied on trying to find measurable metrics to prove why "we" are right even in losses:

As SNAP hangs in the balance for nearly 42 million people, misinformation is rampant. Myths of laziness and fraud persist when we should be talking about too low wages for workers, income inequality, and our threadbare social safety net.

In this guest post, Adam Chandler sorts fact from fiction:
SNAP benefits feed essential needs while still leaving many hungry for more
Journalist and author Adam Chandler explains what so much of the conversation about them gets wrong.

This is why local journalism is so important. Journalism should be informed and legitimately sourced. Not driven by profit, clicks, and eyes for ads.

Support your local journalists! If you can give them tips for stories, do it. Give them real info!
I know other media outlets around the country are running with "diseased monkeys with COVID, herpes and hepatitis are loose in Mississippi!"

And yes, it makes great clickbait. Those posts have thousands of RTs.

But it's just not accurate. Our factual report by @nickjudin.bsky.social:
Lab monkeys from Tulane University have escaped an overturned truck north of the town of Heidelberg, Mississippi.

Despite initial claims by local law enforcement, the monkeys are not carrying COVID-19, herpes or hepatitis C.

This is the ad Donald Trump woke up furious about.

Would be a shame if it went viral.

I know we are focusing on Healthcare for the shutdown and think that's a winning issue. But I think we can walk and chew gum at the same time.

ICE's actions and lack of oversight should 100% be part of the deal Dems make if R's want our votes to reopen the government.
Wow. New Economist poll finds only 34% of Americans say ICE's use of force has been justified, vs 51% who say it's been excessive. And they oppose agents wearing masks by 52-35.

Yep, ICE is becoming a pariah agency, and that's gaining deep penetration in the culture:
ICE's military raids and masked kidnappings are resonating deeply/negatively in the cultural spaces we keep hearing Dems need to reach: Manosphere, Joe Rogan, country music, disengaged voters. That's rare and it gives Dems a big opening to engage.

Thoughts on this:

BREAKING: Philadelphia workers have won the first Whole Foods union under Amazon with UFCW.

Since Amazon bought the chain, workers have lost benefits and felt the squeeze.

Now they're fighting back against the multi-trillion dollar giant and hoping this win will be the first of many.

Confused why so many GOP House members feel confident their Senate counterparts will vote against Trump Cabinet picks (Gaetz, Hegseth, etc) when most of these senators have never gone against Trump before— even after J6 when GOP Trump sentiment was lowest. What would make them start now?
