I don't have statistics more recent than this, but I suspect the situation is still similar now, and it can probably safely be extrapolated meaning that thousands of the 7000+ government services aren't digital accessible to the minimum required standards.

Twenty four of the ‘Top 75’ government services failed to meet basic accessibility standards in Q1 2024.

Some people think the area I live in is quite wealthy / posh, but honestly we are pretty average. We eat the same jammy dodgers as everyone else, both strawberry and apricot varieties:

Look, it’s trite to say, but I’m gonna say it anyway: tell your people that you love them. Apologize when you screw up, check in just to say hi, celebrate every mundane happiness you can with them. They need it more than you know, and so do you.

If you've had any UX/accessibility wins lately tell us please. I need to know tech isn't all just slop and feature chasing. I've been SPIRALING.
I've also just been in "big tech world" since like 2017 so what do I know. Maybe the grass is greener on the other side.

I’ve started a small scale repair shop specialising in brass and copper cleaning and restoration. My website makes things clear but I still get loads of questions. I don’t know why people keep giving me the verdigris.

Much as I like the word "oftentimes" I didn't expect my phone to autocorrupt my words to include that, especially as I can't remember ever actually using it myself.

Overheard in a coffee shop, someone asking for 1.5 shots instead of the usual 2 or 1. Feels like sitting on the fence to me, and I didn’t see what they did with the spare 0.5 shot.

I love London so much. So much.

Did you know that London has the lowest level of ethnic violence of any city of comparable size in the world?

Multiculturalism has in fact worked here. They just don’t want it to be true because we happen to have a Muslim mayor.
In London, hate will never win.
