Alas, countries aren’t perfectly rational beings that update information constantly. They’re led by ideologues who forget their own history.

Hamas’s entire leadership has been decapitated 10x over and yet Israel still continues its genocide. They might be successful in ethnically cleansing Gaza. However, Israel ensured that whatever Palestinian group supplants Hamas, it will be more violent, evil, and fundamentalist.

To be clear, Rodriguez deserves to go to prison and was a demonstrably violent person before he killed two people in cold blood. However, maybe his violent impulses wouldn’t have turned into murder had Israel turned the ceasefire into a permanent peace.

This person would more likely than not still be alive if Israel would simply stop committing mass killings. Criminals, and most murderers, have rational reasons for why they commit crimes and this killing was no exception.

Wild seeing Trump cabinet officials and allied-lawmakers trying to tell voters that:
-Recessions actually aren't all bad,
-Collapsing stocks are a buying opportunity,
-Price hikes are part of making American great, and
-High egg prices mean we should all raise chickens.

This is why it’s annoying when someone decides to butt in and say “America always has and will sucked maximally.”

Look, this place was never close to perfect but it used to be a country where it was uncontroversial to say we shouldn’t bomb Denmark and I think getting back is a reasonable goal.
