I wasn’t doubting you, I just haven’t looked in to the rules governing joining/rejoining myself. I totally agree there is no guarantee the EU countries will accept us back. Which is why Starmers approach is reasonable try and develop as close ties as we can which may help joining in the future.

Even if it wasn’t a condition of rejoining, I’m not sure about that, but I think EU might insist as it will make it more difficult for us to withdraw again. Don’t forget this has been very damaging for us but it hasn’t been an easy ride for EU either. They won’t want us doing the Hokey Cokey😏

That’s just an excuse that selfish people use. It’s not within GOV remit to just rejoin. Labour are working on closer ties/alignment with EU. Polling on rejoining is not comprehensively in favour and will be considerably lower if we have to accept the EURO to rejoin.

Don’t think so, Badenoch started this at PMQs, saying the education budget including SEND was being used to fund lifting child ben cap. Reeves said it was being funded by gambling tax and tax reform.

I totally agree on the timing but if when the time comes we have to accept the Euro to rejoin, I’m in. I wouldn’t have said that when we originally joined but now🤷♀️

I think those below 40 have little interest in politics, they are busy trying to get through the day. When my daughter now 35 started uni, first election she asked her friends if anybody was going to vote, there was only 2 others out of a group of 20+, one was voting UKIP, she married the other.

Can’t take him seriously after his performance at the queens funeral. I think he should have been sacked for that, he was either drunk or high on drugs. The only other explanation is he has a serious mental health issues all make him unsuitable to be in government.

I wish he would, but then PMQS just becomes a mudslinging match . It’s bad enough already, Starmer try’s to ignore Badenochs slurs and to stick to policy questions. But it’s difficult at times, as recently KB has used all her question to make personal attacks on RR. Her backbenchers cheer her on too

Surely if OFCOM won’t intervene, the GOV has to do something.
I complained to OFCOM about GBNews earlier in the year, the response was it’s what GBNews viewers expect/want to see so no action will be taken. That’s not good enough, such open vile racism is dangerous.

I’d say one was demonstrably worst than the other. Reeves winning the “wrong” chess tournament didn’t ruin any childhoods, unless those she beat never got over losing of course😏
