No more laying in bed on a heating pad in pad, no more missing school/work, no more being in a very, very dark place for days before that each month suffering from PMDD.

For me, my Mirena IUD has been a miracle drug and I hear they want to ban it and it makes me want to cry.

But personally for me the reason I have one - the MEDICAL reasons I have one, not just strictly for birth control (though that would be fine on its own) make it almost a necessity.

It’s the only thing that’s regulated my very heavy cycle and the severe PMS along with it. It’s like magic-poof-gone!

We don’t know if IUD’s are covered

That means before Jan 1, we need to get an appt w a doctor as an established patient for a procedure that’s

1) Covered

2) Legal

That is the world women are living in. I’m not due for this appointment & IUD removal/insertion isn’t pleasant-it’s awkward & painful

We start Open Season for health insurance in November. All indications are that our premiums are going up by a lot.

We don’t know how prescriptions will be affected. We don’t know if our current doctors will be in network if we change to a cheaper plan because premiums on our current plans double.

That’s a good point that I didn’t think of right away.

Sorry for this random question Robert, I do listen to BTB & if I missed it, I apologize, but what seemingly enabled the Germans to be like “holy shit we fucked up” after WW2 yet a decent portion of Americans are still not convinced that losing the Civil War was a good thing?

It is. Morale is low. Best of luck to mom. ❤️

Oui, mais je comprends. Peut-être j’essaye et un jour c’est une réalité. Suggestions?

Je suis Acadienne & je parle un peu de français. Je voudrais travailler en France. Moi, je l’aime France - les personnes, la langue, la culture, etc.

I guess it hurts so much because this is literally the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do with my life. Additionally, so many family members actively chose this. I have….thoughts.

Here I am at 2 years old.

Stephen displays his inner NASA geek proudly and us space nerds take note of things like that!

You have a lot of fans at #nasa JSC, Stephen! Thank you for a wonderful memory. ❤️🚀

I didn’t think much of it. But a few weeks later, I had a package on my desk with a signed photo of Stephen Colbert (above).

He sent everyone in the room whose name was on the list an autographed pic.

Absolute class act. So kind and thoughtful. Will always be a fan. @stephencolbert.bsky.social

And he went around the room and greeted each JSC employee personally. He shook everyone’s hand and said, “Hi! I’m Stephen Colbert!”

A lot of us had brought items for him to sign, but because his flight had been delayed and he showed up late, we were told to put our names on a list.
