The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

This is exactly why ICE needs to be unmasked and ID’d — like cops.

📌 Cases of ICE impersonators this year alone outnumber the last four presidential terms combined.

Pharmacy benefit managers have helped drive local pharmacies out of business and increased the costs of your prescriptions.

I'm proud to say that's no longer the case here — we’re putting an end to their predatory practices.

The nation should follow suit.
As restraints on drug middlemen take effect in Illinois, Congress considers following suit
Pressure on pharmacy benefit managers is coming from both state and national lawmakers.

We have some good news in these dark times!

Narcisso Barranco, the father of three U.S. Marines, has been released from an ICE detention center in Adelanto, California.

I hope to see more releases and more families reunited.

Small steps lead to great victories.🔥

Please pass it on.

DOGE having access to Americans' Social Security data isn't just a major security breach.

It's part of a deliberate ploy to cut benefits — using the false pretext of "waste and fraud" — and have Congress use the savings to give billionaires another giant tax cut.

Be warned.

How much is Congress cutting from their $6.5 billion/year budget? Don’t you think congress can operate on say, maybe, $5 Billion? And each congressman has 18 staff, they could operate on say, 14?

What about the White House?

So it's dangerous for China to have the ability to access our data and manipulate us via social media apps.

But it's okay for America's billionaires to have the ability to access our data and manipulate us via social media apps.

Do I have this right?

Trump's treasury nominee Scott Bessent, who is worth ~$500 million, warned of "economic calamity" if Trump's tax cuts for the rich are not extended.

But when asked if we should raise the federal minimum wage above the current paltry $7.25/hr, he said no.

Economic populism.
Trump’s Treasury pick rejects minimum wage hike, champions tax breaks
Scott Bessent summarized the incoming administration’s perspective perfectly: Yes to tax breaks for the wealthy, no to increasing the minimum wage.

It's no mistake that we find our country in this place that no longer values the importance of science, trusts experts and scholars, and eschews the idea that strengthening community to ensure everyone can prosper. The concept of common good has been slowly attacked over decades...
In @naomiaklein.bsky.social’s 📕“Doppelgänger”, she says we are now “reaping the harvest” of decades of an attack on “the very concept of a public good” — the idea that we are all in this together, and government can be used for good.
