Trump was probably counting on ICE attacking protesters

Because the violence serves two purposes

It backs his claim that blue states are lawless, overrun by immigrant “invaders”

And shifts the media from the fact that his Disgusting Abomination Bill will take Medicaid away from millions of people
ICE agents intentionally started the violence in LA.

“The first 100 days of President Trump’s second term have done more damage to American democracy than anything else since the demise of Reconstruction,” writes the @nytimes.com editorial board. It’s time to fight “bravely and smartly.”

They literally stole taxpayer money and put into their personal empire. These two are such crooks.
THIS IS WILD‼️

Florida got $67M from a Medicaid fraud settlement. Instead of using it for actual health care, Casey DeSantis funneled $10M to a “charity” she controls. That “charity” passed it to anti-abortion and anti-marijuana groups—who then helped fund GOP campaigns. Both measures lost!

This is an enormous theft—not just privatizing a government function with a worse and more expensive for-profit substitute, but also a massive government financial data heist—and on the other side of it everyone needs to end up broke and imprisoned to deter them and others from doing it again.

The protests are not for Trump to see, they are so you can all see each other and grow. It's not the protest itself that tyrants are afraid of, but the networks and community you can grow from them. Your strength is your unity and that's why the enemy thrives by demoralizing and dividing you. #3E

If CBP asks for your opinion of Trump, that is *not* the moment to be forthright. Say you don’t follow politics. Say you aren’t paying much attention. Say you like him. Don’t say you don’t.
I was waiting for this—evidence of CBP overreach at a US/Canada *land* border.

Well, here it is: a *US CITIZEN* detained in Vermont, handcuffed, and confined to a cell across from his wife.

They could have been transferred to an ICE facility.

Cross in airport pre-clearance if you can.

It is SO unusual for the Supreme Court to issue an order this late at night and honestly incredible only Thomas and Alito noted their dissents.

Also fascinating that SCOTUS rushed out the order before Alito could finish writing his dissent. That basically never happens! Again—majority seems pissed.

One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind.

An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one."

The other said, "Take him anyway."

So they did.

The next step for Trump is to send a US citizen convicted of something like child murder and rape to CECOT in El Salvador. It'll set the precedent to send citizens there while neutralizing outrage over it because of the heinous nature of their crimes. Then it'll any felony and then protestors.
