My favorite videos to watch are those when young folks are hearing an old banger for the first time. Not sure whether they are real or fake, but their astonishment gets me every time. The most recent one I dug was youngsters hearing Black Betty for the first time.

When I saw the trees in the park sprout tiny mushrooms, I started to feel under all the plants for oddities—baby teeth in elephant ears, chants from prickly pears. I considered all the seeds I’d ever eaten and the mushrooms, physics, & daycares inside me. So, I resolved to be better, for everyone.
