Abou’s Left Leg

Arsenal FC fan since I can remember (25+ years). The poetry of football vs. the downward spiral of pub punditry.

I’m a cautious guy by nature, but the only thing that today taught me was that we have a WAY better chance to win the PL than we did last year. Eze is going to be an absolute star, players will get used to Gyokeres and our squad is looking as strong as it ever has (coming from a fan from 1998).

Take out Salah (Saka), VVD (Saliba), Szlobozai (Odegaard) and Havertz (honestly, more first team than Gyokeres atm) in that ‘Pool team and do you honestly think we lose this game with all our injuries?

If anything, it seems Liverpool are lucky we played them that early. Mosquera looks incredible, Eze is just getting started and the offensive players will click with Gyokeres soon. Bar them getting Isak, I don’t see them catching up to the strength of Arsenal 25/26.

Nicely done for going at it on your own, mate. All the best!

Kind of banner made by people who still think Brexit was a great idea 😄

We are back to being one of the best European teams and this summer seems will complete the last big holes in our squad. We’re here to stay.

Your post explains a good chunk of the reasons why we are in this situation (actually, we should be further down, IMO). Pretty sure fans with a modicum of intelligence know why we aren’t playing great this season. These 50/50 decisions just the cherry on top :) That’s it. Cross fingers for PSG.

‘So far this season Arsenal have dropped points because of

- Nonsense red cards
- Injuries to several key players
- Tough fixture schedule against most of the top teams away

I still believe we can challenge for the top trophies but there's no more room for error.

Its time to go on a run.

Sorry that came accross a little direct but that definition of ‘success’ is one that Neville and co like to brandish around. It isn’t really how we feel though is it? Would we rather be in 15th and play against Bodo Glimt again? Would you switch this for that?

Ah the good old Emery days. The bags of fun we had back then. Please 😄

If you knew anything about Arseblog and Gunnerblog, you’d know this is an unwarranted and reactionary comment.

It’s like speaking to a guy who’s been watching too much Fox News 😂 Take it easy, man. Go for a walk in the forest or something.

Was called the ‘craziest game in history’ by the media. Could’ve been Newcastle - Brugge would’ve been the same. Doesn’t mean united aren’t a big club, but think you got the wrong end of the stick here, pal. Also, just grabbing it from the one source (TNT) and calling it gospel 😅

Can see arguments for both Sesko and Vik. One has more experience and therefore little less risk of being a bust. Other has more potential but not might need an extra year. 🤷‍♂️

Big Vik 60mil
Nico 60mil
Zubi 50mil
Garcia 30mil

Genuinely think this is one of the best combination of players for us. These are all ballpark obv but that’s 200mil before sales. Definitely doable. Isak (although incredible player) simply doesn’t add up for the amount of players we still need.
