Just a Liverpool fan sharing his thoughts.
Nunez's inconsistency and Jota's unavailability are a major concern and getting someone like Isak would strengthen the team significantly. A young understudy in case both of the aforementioned leave is also likely.

The major concern here would definitely be whether Isak suits the Liverpool system.

What i mean by that is, Arsenal are getting Sesko, who is not a backup option. City already have 2 strong striker options in Haaland and Omar. Chelsea have more than 4 active strikers, and United have 2.

It is also common knowledge that Liverpool are looking for a striker.

This also means that Slot would change his system to one suited more for a single potent No.9, much like what he had in Feyenoord with Giménez.

All that said, these rumours might just be gossip on the player's side, because his camp might see Liverpool as his big break.

The thought of Salah and Isak linking up would excite alot of people, but I'm not sure that's the best solution.

Salah is not the kind of winger that suits Isak and vice versa. This means that even if he's bought next season, Isak would need to conform with Salah rather than the other way around.

Someone who can replace Salah's output.

This shows proactiveness from Liverpool's side. Salah doesn't leave next season, but i wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't complete his rumoured 2 year contract.

What may happen is that Isak is brought a season in advance and Salah is sold next summer.

Based on our previous understanding of how Michael Edward operates, this seems like a very left field move. It's not finding a hidden gem, but rather getting one of the most highly rated players in the league.

This move might materialise if Liverpool sees him as the next big thing.

Recent rumours have linked Alexander Isak to a move to Liverpool for around 120m. Considering that Newcastle does need to generate Cash Inflows to remain compliant with FFP, that offer is something which they might be willing to accept.

Liverpool making that offer however, is questionable.

The market opportunity definitely exists to sign him, but to sign him as a no. 10 or a winger doesn't make sense because those spots are already heavily stacked.

Not saying he's the perfect option, seeing as he has not played that role. But he's young and available at a bargain, so can be moulded.
