Salah's Matchday

• Top 10 in all time UCL goal scoring charts with 51

• Equals his own G/A record from last season at 39, it's only January

• Overtakes Henry for G/A in the UCL, 68 compared to Henry's 67

• 50 UCL goals for Liverpool, more than any other player for the reds

Favourite youngster in the team. Best creative no. 10 in our team and what a performance. Given the chance to effect an entire half of football and came up with the match winner.

No one in their right mind would sell this guy. He has a role to play. Amazing!!

Absolutely sensational defensive performance from trent today. That tracking run where he gets the ball off Mbuemo is exactly the kinda effort it felt was lacking in his previous games. He's really turned it around since that FA Cup tie, has been amazing in the last 3.

For Arsenal fans complaining it was his stomach, here's the angle that clearly showed that it hit his arm.

Never think I've seen a player more reliant on confidence than Nunez. He literally took the ball from Salah's feet for the second goal, hopefully he kicks on and can be an asset for the rest of the season.

Should start up front against LOSC. Good win today. Should out quality in depth.

Kerkez should be the nailed on Robertson replacement. Good connection with the sporting director, at the age and price range that Liverpool like. Good experience, suitable physical attributes. Bring him to Anfield.

Salah's Matchday

• Salah scored a goal and got 2 assists against West Ham to take his Premier League total to 30 G/A and overall total to 37 G/A, the most of anyone in Europe's top 5 leagues.

• He has now got 54 G/A in the month of December in the Premier League, 3 more than Rooney who's next.

Mo Salah's Weekend

• Salah now has 250 G/A for Liverpool in 250 starts for the club

• He's now the only player to score or assist in 10+ consecutive games 3 different times in the premier league

• With his goal yesterday, he now has 449 G/A in 548 career appearances

Really hoping that upcoming promising managers like Iraola and Frank don't make the jump to Spurs.

The lily whites need a better culture, not a new coach. Ange might not be tactically it, but he can definitely change the structure and mentality of the club, which is needed first.

Mo Salah's Weekend

First Premier League player to get 10+ G&A before Christmas.

4th on the all time goalscorer list for Liverpool

Equals David Beckham's Assist record as he moves to joint 10th in all time Premier League Assist Chart

33 G/A in 24 matches, most in Europe and 3 clear of Marmoush

The Carabao Cup semi-final draw is amazing.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal can use this as a springboard to achieve bigger trophies, whereas both Spurs and Newcastle need it to show faith and progress in their respective processes.

I'll back my team ofcourse, but Newcastle can be the dark horse.

Liverpool most definitely looking to sign LBs in January.

Kerkez, Robinson and Aït-Nouri are all of similar profile, the running full back role in the lines of Robertson at his best.

IMO we sign Kerkez, seeing as he's the one most strongly linked. But the other 2 are good options as well.

Both of them seem to have exceptional output, especially considering the minutes under their belt. Pedro is way better in the air, whereas Omar contributes more in the defence, though only slightly.

Availability will be a major concern with Pedro, though his PL experience will also be a factor.

Analysing their heatmaps, João Pedro is similar to how Jota plays this season. Omar Marmoush on the other hand, seems to be all over the pitch, which seems to suggest a much harder workrate.

Interestingly, Jota and Giménez seem to occupy different spaces, most probably due to Salah.
December 14, 2024 at 5:23 AM
João Pedro and Omar Marmoush are the options linked most heavily with Liverpool.

Analysing their games clearly shows that they both offer very different skill sets and would be interesting to see the one Liverpool end up going for.
December 14, 2024 at 5:23 AM
The need for a new no. 9 is clear at Liverpool. With Diego's injury concerns and mixed receptions of Darwin, Liverpool would definitely be looking for another forward.

Further, James Pearce has also hinted that Slot might wants a new striker.

Deserves his applause today, wasn't at the top of his game during the last 2 matches, especially with a few mistakes against Newcastle, but he was brilliant today and made some important interceptions.

I think he'll become ever better with a run of games.
December 10, 2024 at 8:12 PM
Kelleher has been brilliant but it's clear to see why AB1 is our first choice keeper.

Amazing saves today and kept us in the match, comfortably one of his best performances and he's straight back from an injury.

Idk how to explain it but we just feel so much more comfortable in a lead now.

It's like, there's no longer a need for 3-1 Jota, we can always just see a 1-0 or 2-0 out.

On current form, Salah is the best player in the world. The next UCL match against Girona will again be a stage for him to remind the world of that.

He had a good game against Real aside from the penalty miss, and with the contract talks behind him, it's time to win the Ballon D'or next.
December 10, 2024 at 4:22 AM
Cole Palmer is an amazing player but he needs to put more performances like he did yesterday against bigger teams.

He's undeniable class and among the best 3 in the PL over the last 1.5 years but his notable absence of contribution against Big 6 is worrying.

These Arsenal set pieces are a cheat code. Massive kudos to Nicholas Jover.

Don't think I've ever seen a team be such a constant threat from corners as they are.

People complaining about their tactics, well if it ain't broken why fix it.
