Yelling into the void from the city that Jenny Lind dubbed "the most beautiful village in the world" and "the paradise of America"

And finally, we should first spend less time on snow removal for car-dominated area and more time on snow removal for people areas.

Also, doesn’t a city-provided sidewalk clearing operation punish those that are good neighbors (who already clear) by increasing taxes on them?

While I would love if it could work, operationally I’m not sure how.

High traffic areas should be prioritized by the city, but, at least here (Northampton), there isn’t enough staff available to be able to clear sidewalks promptly.

Honestly, I don’t understand how people can be so happy about their lawns and gardens but be negligent towards their sidewalk.

(I did 2 hours of rogue volunteer downtown and bus stop shoveling today).

I guess this wasn't that great of storm either though. Wonder when the last December storm where each of Hartford, Providence, Boston and Worcester got at least 6" (or even 3")

Feels like it’s a longtime since we’ve had a good December snowstorm.
