I need to abandon this account for now. Maybe in a year or so this place will quiet down too. I'll come back and try again. But for now, I just can't do it. There's no point in staying somewhere that you must ever be on guard for people who actively look for the worst in every person and statement.

On mastodon, most people have been off twitter for years. It's more relaxed. There is a general consideration for people's intent, and a charitable assumption that people are generally good natured. I think this is because over there that's generally true.

I gotta agree on this one. The media have a long history of driving people to severe depression mental issues that are entirely undeserved. With the scrutiny that we are now able to employ there needs to be legislation in place to protect private citizens against this sort of harassment.

Android is already open source, under the apache license. Google just puts in a lot of proprietary nonsense, like the google play services, but these are entirely unnecessary to run it.

I'm not really sure what you're asking. To me the whole movie resembles soft-core porn (weak plot included), and the pool scene exemplifies it. I mean the waterfall from knowhere starts pouring over her while she's shaking her breasts all over the place.. It's just ridiculous! It's funny!
