This video is a little drawn out, but it's the best take on the Ed Piskor situation (for lack of a better term) that I've seen so far: #comics

The biggest difference between Bluesky and Mastodon is the userbase. Most people on BS have come directly from X within the last couple months. As such, they still treat every statement like an attack. Every thread is treated like a a potential fight.

My runs this week went extraordinarily well. That "rusty hinge" sensation in my knee has all but disappeared. It got a little stiff toward the end each time, but has been feeling great otherwise. So next week I'll go ½ km further than advised. I'll be close to 5 km at that point.

Oh my god.

Jared Campbell is a 3-time #BM100 finisher (2012, 2014, 2016; this is his 8th time running it).

In loop 5, runners go off in alternating directions (clockwise/counterclockwise), with the former often being considered a bit easier.

Waiting for her to let her choose? Massive kudos.

I think I've got to go through my #weightlifting routine & lighten my load. I currently work out 6 days per week, with 3 #cardio days & 3 with weights. The weights I go pretty hard, with about 1½ hrs per workout. I may shorten that, or just do 2 days. I really want to focus more on cardio. #running

Well, I did my first 3 km run today. I decided to run it on a treadmill. It went really well! I was quite pleased. For the first 2 km I could really feel the knee, but it almost went away completely for the last km. I'm gonna do my next 3 km on a treadmill too, before trying it on pavement.

Holy shit, I didn't even notice you can mute words here now! Maybe I will give this place another chance. One thing I always hated was that I always get drawn into dumb ass political discussions that I don't want to have. So here's my list of muted words to accomplish that:

It's amazing to me that you can say completely normal things here, that everyone IRL would agree with, like "doxxing is bad" or "violence is bad", and point out that not everyone who says that doxxing and violence is bad actually means it, but ppl here will turn into complete psychopaths over it.

I've now run for 3 days. Only 2 km on each day though, as per my PT's recommendation. I am ashamed to admit that I found it to be hard work. Some of this can be blamed on my knee, which still feels like a rusty hinge, but I also know I'm breathing really heavily. I've become out of shape.😩

I've begun #running finally, after 4 months on the sidelines. My physiotherapist finally gave me the ok. It's very slow going for now, only 2 km at a time with a 1 km increase per week. I ran 2 km outside on Wed. and 2 km today on a treadmill. I'm breaking for tomorrow and then another 2 on Sat.

I want to go back to the days when I didn't have the internet readily available in my pocket all the time. I'm considering just removing data access from my phone and carrying around a book.

I can't stand the modern proclivity for censorship. I'd much rather read a story as the author intended, regardless of the age in which it was written, than watch a watered down version on Netflix, rewritten for the delicate, child-like sensibilities of blue-haired pearl-clutchers, both young & old.

I have tremendous hope that in March my PT with present me with a program to return to #running. At that point, I want running to be my focus. I'm gonna dial back my gym workouts.

Do all #runners pay attention to zone 2 heart rates? I never have. For an easy run I just do what feels easy. I'm sure that probably puts me into zone 3 but really: who cares? It all sounds to me like new age BS but for fitness gurus. #running

I need to add 'mansplain' to the list of muted words in my Sanity Feed.

One of the side effects of my injury has been an incessant clicking in my knee when I walk. I've now discovered that I can eliminate it by doing a full round of physio immediately before I go for a walk. Then it feels almost back to normal. I think I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel

I think I've finally got a handle on this app. After days of wishing for a better way to customize my experience here, I found out how to easily customize a feed, including muting words. If I could only figure out how to do this with my "following" feed, I'd be complete.
