Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?

That is illegal, no? Or are they claiming that warning about their activity counts as interfering, which gives them cause for arrest?

OMG! This really would be life-changing.

The one I need is out of stock right now, sigh.

Reported a post for intolerance, then blocked. Really sad to see some of those other accounts sharing fascist, racist propaganda.

Maniac for the emotional journey. Notable that Patrick Somerville was involved in all 3 of these.

Also Midnight Mass & Haunting of Hill House

Someone else mentioned Rectify—I've never seen it, but I've heard it & Les Revenants are similar in vibes to The Leftovers.

I'm a grad student and old. Hard same. If I try to pull even a late night marathon work session I can hardly concentrate. On the rare occasions I have enough adrenaline to power through, I can hardly function the next two days.

Like, major efforts to fight the Trump admin are coming from religious orgs and people of faith: bsky.app/profile/jack...
BTW, this a buried detail in here, but: it's actually kind of a huge deal that at least 55 faith-based organizations — including 15 *entire religious denominations* — have already sued the Trump administration in its first year.

Not sure there's much precedent for that.

What rights do people have when interrogated in public?

-- Everyone has the right to refuse to answer their questions, yes?
-- But green card/visa holders have to carry their documents with them. Are they required to answer and show them?
-- Can they arrest just b/c someone doesn't answer?

I remember listening to a bit of an Obama speech (I think it was on NPR?), well before the primary started and before I'd ever heard his name mentioned as a potential candidate. I remember thinking, "I bet he's going to be president." Can't explain why, just seemed like he had "it."

I lost the tip of my finger loading Audio A's & DC Talk's gear into their trailer

(loading a hollow lighting pole, I was helping carry it with my hand on the open part opposite the hinge, hinge was closed & I didn't realize until too late, blood, hospital, stitches, that finger is now a bit short)

Trump does the exact same thing with birds & windmills (which he doesn't actually give a shit about). Concern trolling like this is so aggravating!

Good point.

I'm glad for the example. I've used some of these with my students to explain why they shouldn't rely on the AI summary.

My favorite was googling "difference between a sauce and a dressing." Answer: "sauces add flavor and texture to dishes, while dressings are used to protect wounds"

It's answer now is better, but still wrong (or at least severely misleading). All of San Juan Island is further north than all of Maine, but Google's AI summary says, "San Juan Island is further north than most of Maine."

The sources it uses to back this up are two Instagram posts.

Will Congress be able to affect these funds that were already given to ICE in the appropriations bill? Could a Dem Congress claw it back?

Whatever happens in the courts, this is a worrying moment for residents of the nation's capitol. A politicized law enforcement apparatus is seizing control over local police and demanding that the will of the voters be tossed aside.
