Has anyone been able to successfully integrate something like the remarkable into their daily workflow?

Have been trying off and on for years. I found a bit of success if I’m sitting down reading a book with explicit intent of taking notes. Feels like takes more effort to force it into my flows.

Using protobufs in a side project this weekend. (Proto+grpc-gateway is pretty cool)

I’ve gotta be missing something…

Snake case to camelCase works fine for proto marshal methods(has right annotations). But uses snake case annotations for json on the structs instead of camelCase?

TypeScript team: rewrites compiler in Go.

Go community: what do you mean your new compiler takes more than a minute to compile? Unacceptable. Dishonorable even. We are so sorry for this sub par experience. Not how we do things around here.

Two days later: WIP 5x speedup.

HN: why pick Go anyway?

Well… I got impatient for new episodes of Silo. I now find my self 50% through the first book.

Hopefully I don’t regret. So far not too many differences from first season of the show.

Super cool to see the second iteration of lanparty house. This time designed instead of retrofit.

Also cool to see inclusion of board games in the mix too.

When can we abolish Day Light Savings? It’s depressing to get off work and it already be getting dark. Crazy how much 1 hour changes things

Any suggestions or good lists for software development, sre, hardware, retro, electronics? Looking to find more people to follow.

Bluesky has some interesting ideas. The way they put the user in control of the feed is very cool.

A colleague brought up that there was a blackberry documentary. It got me to wondering… if Android hadn’t taken the other big portion of the market share along side iOS… would Apple have taken all? Firefox OS, blackberry, Microsoft, palm maybe have had a chance?

With BlueSky finally opening up federation, I think it's time to write up something that explains the whole thing, BlueSky, atproto, the works, in one easy to find place. Just the high level bits, hopefully something that any developer can understand: steveklabnik.com/writing/how-...

👋 Hello to the 260+ self-hosters that have joined the network over the last week! (Notice how nothing has changed about the in-app experience? 😎)

Developers, in case you missed it, we enabled federation for self-hosters last week. Read this guide to learn how to set up your own server!
Early Access Federation for Self-Hosters | Bluesky
For a high-level introduction to data federation, as well as a comparison to other federated social protocols, check out the Bluesky blog.
