Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda aims to diminish Asian communities in size and power – and the attack on H-1B visas is just the latest move to threaten our safety and our very existence in this country.

From Day 1, Trump has been fighting to keep Asians out of the U.S. by attacking our most common pathways to building lives in America — restricting birthright citizenship, revoking student visas, and now imposing an extreme fee for H-1B applicants.

There are efforts to divide our nation but we are in Chicago w/ AAPI/gun violence/Latino/Black, Jewish/survivor/civil rights/government/youth/research & philanthropy groups at the 4th Annual AAPI Against Gun Violence convening to unite around the idea that gun violence is a civil rights issue.

Last week, Team ENOUGH founding members Robert Schentrup and Aalayah Eastmond helped organize a youth panel at the 4th Annual AAPI Gun Violence Prevention Conference on the sacrifices young people make in the movement, how adults can support, and how we sustain hope in the face of inaction.

As our ED Sonya celebrates AANHPI heritage month, she’s reminded how gun violence has impacted the Asian community and notably on the rise since pandemic.

Today we remember the 8 lives stolen by a gunman in Atlanta spas four years ago and hold their memories and loved ones close in our hearts.

We honor them in our continued commitment to root out anti-Asian hate and work to combat the epidemic of gun violence in our country.
