Creativity is like a houseplant, not an endless well. You need to seek out sunlight, water, and nutrients in art, shows, music, experiences, and more to tend to it. And just like plants it has its dormant and active periods and you may not seem improvement for some time.

When I was watching all the “goodbye” videos from my favorite TikTok creators, I realized that most of them had started posting in 2020 at the start and height of the pandemic. When we had to distance ourselves to protect ours & our loved ones’ health, that’s when we started building community…

I’ll miss TikTok. Even if this app came back, I don’t think it’ll ever be the same given who’s coming into office. TikTok is the only platform where I’ve ever felt connected to folks and felt like I was part of a community. Oof…😭

There needs to be a study on nonprofits that seem progressive, inclusive, and community-centered on the outside but don’t uphold these values internally and mistreat the staff that are HELPING maintain this image.

I’ve mentioned this before, but if you’re short on cash but have an urge to shop, go to your library digital apps and browse the books, audiobooks, movies, shoes, magazines. It works really well to give you the same feeling without spending the cash. (Plus you’re supporting public libraries.) 💙📚

There was a point in my life where I used to play uke & guitar and do covers AND draw, and now I can’t commit to a hobby for more than 2 months. But I’m trying!! 🥲
Lowkey wanna pick up drawing again, lowkey wanna pick up my guitar again, lowkey wanna start working out more and yet I have no motivation at all... it's like my hearts says "go do it! you'll make time!" and my brain is like "nah, you'll drop in a few days anyway don't bother lol"
