It’s increasingly beginning to look like we’ve all been invited to the dinner, but some of us are showing up as the main course and others are the invited guest

I came to the US as a Soviet refugee at age 4, fleeing an authoritarian system. As an adult, I spent years working in post-Soviet republics. I’ve seen what happens when government agencies become weapons of coercion.

And I can tell you, we’ve passed the point of no return.
Fascism is Terrible
(And because it apparently still needs to be said, so is murder.)

The thing to key in on is "talented athlete"

When he ad libs he often gives clues to his thought process and motivation. He likely saw huge contracts for Shohei and Soto, etc. and wondered why we can't cash in directly on them playing in the US?

The #s he throws around are nonsense, obvs
Trump on his immigration "gold cards": "If we sell a million, right, a million, that‘s $5 trillion... If we sell 10 million, which is possible, 10 million highly productive people coming in... they‘ll be young, but they‘re talented, like a talented athlete, that‘s $50 trillion."

This shit is diabolical.

I hope United, T-Mobile, and Comcast are paying attention.

Ukraine didn't have much choice, but it's now clear that hitching your wagon to anything Musk controls is a huge risk. Don't expect contracts to save you. Laws don't matter much now

I find myself writing-and-deleting without-sending more messages/posts/emails lately and that's saying a lot...

That used to take up a lot of my day already, but now...I mean, I barely have time to huff with exasperation before/after said typing and deleting.

The world is just getting so dumb.

Logan Gilbert and the Mariners settle at $7.625m to avoid arbitration, per Jon Heyman on X. That’s almost half a million less then the projections.
