To be honest, when I found out the patriarchy wasn't about horses I lost interest.

Metalhead. Cidermaker. Socialist. He/Him.
Made an Elian Gonzalez reference today and my Gen z coworker had no idea who I was talking about

Maybe I'm late to the party here but that new Together movie is a wholesale ripoff of Haus of Decline's epic comic series, right? It has the same name and everything.

T-Pain is on bluesky, amazing
Heartbroken by the news. I was blessed to be able to cover War Pigs and get your recognition. Ozzy Forever 🤘🏿

This is a major "old man shakes fist at cloud" but if you run a restaurant in the year 2025 and don't have your service hours PROMINENTLY listed and easy to find on your website, what are you even doing? Same for your Google Maps/whatever listing.

one thing that fascinates me about industrial business is how inefficient and grinding procurement of equipment and their parts is.

Currently sitting in a vibrant, clean coworking space with comfortable chairs, lots of outlets, fast wifi, quiet rooms for phone calls, free coffee and snacks, and attentive staff.

Actually it's a Honda dealership waiting room.

Not pictured is the obviously fake handicap permit hanging on the mirror, of course.

Buynothing is so great. I had the bottom half of a Craftsman stick vacuum lying around and almost just trashed it but decided ah what the heck I'll see if someone wants it. Turns out a lady in my town broke the bottom half of hers and came over and picked it up immediately.

Movie you've watched more than six times using gifs.

(Hard mode: no Star Wars, Star Trek, or LOTR)

Concept: a "lower decks" style show starring Tramell Tillman and Sarah Bock - following their mundane day to day adventures as they desperately try to keep the team of flighty and easily distracted innies on task so they can hit deadlines.

Stop using AI.

Yes, even just for fun.

AI is built on STOLEN images and text.

That’s right: by using it, you’re stealing from your friends. There is NOT ethical generative AI.

Bonus bullshit: it is HORRENOUS for the environment.

(Yes, even the cutesy profile photo cartoon things.)

An interesting thing that's been happening to me in public recently is, people think I'm an employee of a store when I'm wearing a mask. It's happened in Lowe's, LL Bean, and at a hotel.

I've been listening to the Severance companion podcast and it is not only incredible to hear about the making of this landmark show from the artists behind it - but it is a brutal indictment of every steaming pile of Greenscreened shit that is pumped out of production studios these days.

Hey @jamieloftus.bsky.social!
the classical music at around 15:00 in today's podcast almost completely drowns out your voice - is that on purpose? It sounds like you're still saying interesting and relevant stuff and maybe the mixing got screwed up

Tip for logistics managers. If I email you and say "hey can you send me the tracking number/PRO/BOL for this" and reply with anything but a PDF of the BOL or the tracking number, you are my least favorite person.

Do not tell me you're calling the freight company for an update. I'll do that.

In S4E4 of Fox Mulder is a Maniac Tom and David say "I have moved a dentists's chair before. Thanks to Robert Evans. We won't get into the details of that though."

@iwriteok.bsky.social I desperately need to know more about this

Anyone else worked with someone who is profoundly unhelpful and thinks they're protecting their job security?

Brother, me asking you to send me the tracking number for this package is not coming for your job nor does it endanger your position

I just want to make sure I'm here when it arrives

There's a business near me called "American backyard" and it's just a blank storefront in a mostly empty strip mall with an asphalt parking lot with a broken down car in it and I just think that's just a little too on the nose, to be honest

I am feeling more and more like the Tumblr trope of "it's not my job to educate you" was a psyop by the CIA to fuel division, distrust, and foster the spread of misinformation on the Internet.

When you encounter someone who is wanting to learn, the best person for them to learn from is you.

We love to complain about public transit. However, I just took trains and buses 65 miles to the airport, read three chapters of a book, listened and had zero wait across two transfers.

Something reminded me of it just now, Quiche Lorraine is one of the weirdest songs ever put to track. They must have been on some insane stuff in that studio
