Concerning the rumoured Inbetweeners reboot, i'm seeing the usual opinions from flag-shaggers. Yeah, if the characters are going to be grown up, their "relatability" (I.E. immaturity, open bigotry and being sexual predators) is going to be at least slightly toned down, and you think that a problem?

THIS! I urge anyone to link to this thread when they see some unprincipled, spineless little shit-heel try to downplay the severity of these actors actions. Until the entire industry gets it into their thick skulls that HP is a professional death sentence, nothing is going to get done about it.

THANK YOU! RTD claims to be vehemently anti-tory, and yeah, that's amazing, but he just can't stop himself from accidentally propagating a system that favours them by writing stories and moments designed to quash any spark of rebellion that is drastically needed to fight against it.
There have been a bunch of things across RTD2 that add up to an old tired man saying "All conflict is inherently bad. If life punches down on you harshly and you pushback, you're just as bad".

OK, between this episode and Lucky Day, I'm really struggling to come to grips with the possibility that I might have to start boycotting Doctor Who, because it's tragically clear that the neoliberal/centrist BBC is infecting what used to be a bastion of aggressively radical-leftist programming.

I think part of entering your 30s is going back and realizing that The Inbetweeners just isn't appealing to you any more. Almost every single person in that show is designed to be an unlikeable dickhead, and I just can't give a fuck about them when they make utterly stupid and wrong decisions.
