Swedish Deputy PM: Sweden needs to pick its friends wisely, and we are choosing Canada… So when we come to America, we come to Canada now.

Since their last win on Nov. 8th, the Habs have not gotten goaltending above an .870 sv % from either Jakub Dobes or Sam Montembeault.

They are 0-3-1 during that span.

As per the NHL, Jakub Dobes became the first #Habs rookie goaltender to record a point in each of his first six road games to start a season. The previous record was held by Wayne Thomas (5 GP in 1973-74) and Bill Durnan (5 GP in 1943-44).

The Canadiens have 30 shot attempts at 5v5 with Lane Hutson on the ice tonight. The Blue Jackets have eight.

Last night, it's the most confident I have ever felt about him. The most I have ever believed in his ability to rise to the level of first choice overall.

For the first time, to me, I felt the game was not too fast - that he could process it easily.

Strong recovery to get a point in Columbus by the Canadiens led by a trio change that sparked excellence.

And as usual a plea for patience when the roster isn’t what it could be in this Call Of The Wilde for Global Montreal.

Call of the Wilde: Montreal Canadiens fall in shootout in Columbus - Montreal | Globalnews.ca
The positive in Monday's game was a great comeback by the Montreal Canadiens. The negative was a 4-3 shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

I'd try Kapanen in place of Suzuki. Maybe keep Suzuki in reserve if it goes beyond 3 shooters.
Nick Suzuki is now 0-13 in shootout attempts.

His last shootout goal was on Dec. 13th, 2023…

#Habs Lane Hutson, who was hard on himself after Saturday's loss, had 1G, 1A, logged 25:42 TOI and led the team with 5 SOG tonight vs. #CBJ

That was actually a big positive night for the Canadiens. They hung in there and fought all game. They didn't abandon the defensive side being patient for an equalizer.

Good game. Nothing to be made of losing in a shootout. It's a crap shoot.

Loved Slafkovsky and Demidov together. Hutson was amaze

Master class by Lane Hutson. I'm pretty certain that 1 game experiment swapping Bolduc and Slaf is over. 1st line was invisible with Bolduc on it (to be fair though it's hard to judge based only on one game). MSL put Slaf back on the top line late in the game and I fully expect it to stay that way.

Look at Hutson. Dominant. Absolutely dominant. 34-8 shot attempts 5 on 5 in regulation. Goal and an assist. What a player.

Habs did well to earn a point. Unfortunately a 4th consecutive loss, though.

Dobes will want that one back
November 18, 2025 at 3:22 AM
That went in!

Suzuki had him but couldn't elevate it. I thought for sure he was going to score.
November 18, 2025 at 3:21 AM
Dobes got totally fooled on that one.
November 18, 2025 at 3:20 AM
Habs dominated that OT. It felt like they had puck possession for about 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
November 18, 2025 at 3:19 AM
Glorious chance for Demidov to end it.
November 18, 2025 at 3:17 AM
What work by Hutson in OT! Tremendous hustle - especially for loose pucks.
