Natch, Sauer's letter echoes the immunity/impunity decision from last summer, urging the court to be consistent with the democracy-destroying mission it set in motion. It feels like a coordinated effort to cement the predicate for military control of civilians. Really hope I'm wrong.

Having read it now, i worry the SCOTUS question abt whether Title 10 refers to local police or the formal military is a soft setup for Sauer's reply that Ntl Guard deployment is the "kinder, gentler" approach, and thus the more restrained option.

But I literally just watched a video of parents washing the eyes of their 1-y-o after an agent sprayed pepper spray in the driver's side window at the dad while he was driving. And didn't a Halloween parade of young children get gassed too? Anything they say just sounds like adults in Peanuts.

Heaven forbid they enforce the law. The Rs may be planning more retribution and extortion tactics, so SCOTUS doesn't want to pull a senate-democrats move and relinquish leverage too early. Sorry, most vulnerable.

Trump withheld SNAP benefits. SCOTUS is extending that pain. Trump threatened ATCs' jobs. It's Rs doing the sacrificing, and the shooting of the hostages. Rs don't care, but they know Ds do. Budget is the ONLY lever of power dems have right now, and Rs ruthlessly exploited D's compassion.
