I never updated the cave pics. It turned out great. Life with three littles 6 and under has us on our toes and sometimes feeling like we’re just hanging on 😂

Our cave is still a huge mess, but feeling like it’s about halfway done is starting to reap some rewards. Boys get their first shoes next week.

I’m in the middle of a huge bouldering project for our small basement. With about 25% of my panels up I set the first route today for our elder boys. They love it 😍

It’s not too often I get to wear this shirt and feel like I fulfilled my projected goals. Decided to have a beer after a kickass road ride today. Started the day before dawn for some fishing. Had many delightful family moments that made it all feel like we’re going to be okay. 🥰

Learned today you can skateboard behind a Veer wagon full of gear and fish, but it won’t keep up with the kids on bikes. Sadly, no pics.

I’m delighted to have welcomed our third boy to the world last night. Must be a cake guy, because he came just before midnight. No Pi for you!

Needed to get in an early ski today as winter gasps a last breath. Wife is going strong at 37 weeks along. Our favorite moments are like this, but the kids were missing. In ten years we will all be cruising along together 🥰

My grandpa called me “Old Timer” since I was about six. Today a good friend called me that and warmed my heart far more than he could have expected. Today was one of those where my age has a new number. Put that many miles into the roadie and loved it. Family time. Good day.

Owner before the guy we bought our house from fancied himself a handyman. I’m reminded every project to plan extra time for multiple ridiculous corrections. Just wish I’d remember to plan that extra time before I start.

This year is my seventh season hunting. Saturday is the gun deer opener, and I’m very grateful to have taken up this activity. It is an honor to my indigenous ancestors, healthy food source for my growing family, and excellent opportunity to spend time where I find most peace. Outside.

The city deer have been active for their rut season. This fella almost ate bike while I was riding some local singletrack. We’re both glad it didn’t get any closer.

Charring wood before it was trendy. Likely from 1949.

‘Tis the season for scaring deer and opossums while chasing rabbits across the urban dirt. 17mi of trail 60s from our back gate. Dad rides often happen late and are delightful.

First post is to share that this platform seems delightful. It took a while to gain traction, but this week is turning me over. I’m excited to learn from and connect with new people as my work shifts into a new orientation applying my engineering work in homes.
