Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Despite a lot of (health) crap going on, my life with @wildlifewend.bsky.social is stupendously good. Still planning train trips across Europe. Lucky man!

If Reform can go from nought to sixty in 5 seconds (in terms of support & prominence) why can’t the millions of left-leaning people do exactly the same for @greenparty.org.uk ?
It’s not beyond the realms of possibility.
The old two-party monopoly is dead.
Be part of the change. ✊💚

I sometimes worry I exaggerate the collective madness of our media but the people who cheered Brexit, Boris Johnson & Liz Truss's mini-budget are now applauding Kemi Badenoch's speech. 'Parallell universe' doesn't come close. I suppose her not falling over is a win of sorts for them at the moment.

Travelled by train today from Lausanne to London via Paris. Best way to see wonderful countries and perhaps mourn the stupidity of our leaving the EU. Frictionless travel, single currency and free roaming have now been flushed down the toilet. Grrrrrr!

33 years ago, I took my oldest son to watch Coventry City in the old First Division. I rekindled my love of the game and he found his. His youger brother followed shortly after. Mostly it's been a tough watch, but things change. Well done Doug, Frank and the boys. We are so proud of you all

Frescorossa (nice!) and OuiGo (bit tired) involved so far, with a stop overnight in Chambery. Gorgeous mountain and lake views.
I did say "via" Eurostar. 😂 Only as far as Paris. Other services the rest of the way.

We had the single... clever bloke
Today was the 100th anniversary of the birth of Peter Sellers.

Here is his wonderful parody of Olivier’s Richard III, with the lyrics of the Beatles.

Enjoy!
