Encouraged by Kaji, Shinji returns to NERV HQ and pilots Unit 01 again. The Evangelion goes berserk during the fight, violently killing the angel and consuming its S2 core. Shinji is absorbed into Unit 01's body.

glad more people are getting annoyed at the fake robot slurs thing. it skeeves me out to no end "you don't get it, we made up a pejorative to call this thing as a funny joke, the meme is that we say this ~silly fake slur~ aggressively at objects" great, I'm going to bite you with my teeth now seen too many "silly" algospeak terms for the R-slur to have patience for anything like it especially when a lot of the terms people are throwing around here are deeply uncomfortably close to actual fucking racial slurs
