I offered written testimony in support of a bill to codify equal protection for all gender identities in CT. While I’m very happy to see more people in support than opposed, it drives me bonkers to read testimony from people in opposition. Why are people like this! Ahhhh

In disability circles, these accommodations are, or at least once upon a time were, called curb cuts, because they provide benefits for people outside of the intended recipients. I love alt text for these and many other reasons.
Generally we think of alt-text as the domain of those with accessibility needs.
However alt-text is useful for many reasons, which benefit your viewers, as well as you, the creator!

Are aspect ratios coming back into style?? Nosferatu and the Brutalist were 1.66:1 and I just got out of Nickel Boys which was 1.33:1!

look, games award posting is a losing game but I'm fuckin losin my mind at this. There are two games in this list with a story that even qualifies as "good" and one of them came out in 2001.
