I think you mean Oxford High School? I thought of this too. The MSU shooting really hit home for me. And tragically, I've heard other cases of Americans surviving one mass shooting only to end up (and sometimes die) in another mass shooting. This country is such a hellscape.

Also, this is such a damned good point: the monied classes are the only ones that can still afford actual stimulating human contact for their kids, rather than propping them up in front of the bewitching glow of a tablet or smartphone as nanny.

I completely agree. I think in general, there are few shows that spend as much time on different ways that people can be close and special to each other and how they’re all really important.
