I guess it's time for me to change to a different web browser. Don't care for AI and don't wanna support climate breakdown.

TORONTO – Nine First Nations in Ontario are asking a court to declare a pair of federal and provincial laws meant to fast-track infrastructure projects unconstitutional and are seeking an injunction that would prevent the governments from using some of the most contentious aspects.

Hello Mr. Carney. Bonjour Monsieur Ford. Canada can go in a good direction- renewable energy, electrified heating and cooling mostly ground-based, and improved public transportation by bus and rail. Or not. So far, we are laggards but this is a choice.
In the past two years, with surprisingly little notice, renewable energy has suddenly become the obvious, mainstream, cost-efficient choice around the world.

Ontario Bills 5 and 17 continue the Ford pattern of attacking municipalities for the benefit of stupid land development. We need a coherent and strong alternative, but in the meanwhile, it's time to make our opposition to these noxious Bills heard.

What say you, Toronto?
Literally every New Yorker I’ve talked to about it has said they love it.
NYC’s congestion pricing is a policy miracle: Less traffic, less noise, faster transit, more business sales, more transit revenue. And it hasn’t produced the negative effects outside the cordon zone we were afraid of.

Yes, smaller cars. Better yet more infrastructure for Canadian-made electric trains, subway cars and buses. Even electric passenger vans/station wagons for "mini-mass" transit. Private solutions have limited value.

For starters, if a university can't say "we will protect our vulnerable students and staff who choose to wear masks", it obviously has lost its way. What are they teaching in their medical schools then?

Don't concede to bullies. Anchor instead.
Universities should be defending students, faculty and academic freedom. Conceding to bullies has *never* been a winning strategy.
