Elon got this from the Culture novels. Elektrek hates him and so is suitably mocking, but as his ideas often do, it strikes me as wildly impractical yet directionally correct (the second best kind of correct). Prison sucks.

I came around reluctantly, but baseball really is much better with the pitch clock. Also I doubt anyone tuned out on that Game 7. The NBA is... fine.

When Toyota moved to Plano I saw a dig from a bitter Irviner hoping that Toyota employees liked eating at Olive Garden. Funny, and a few decades prior, true.

Anyway, here is Mikey Chen eating at Olive Gardens. He passes by one of my favorites, Uyghur Olive Garden.

If only we had a, I dunno, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, just to pick a possible name at random, with un-fired employees who could at least work on keeping drug cartels from stealing the names of informants from federal courts.

I did an escape room once that involved dialing a rotary phone to get a voice recording. The room monitor told me that sometimes when they don't have an oldhead in the group they have to teach the kids how to do it.

Dad refused to pay extra for touch tone until he finally no longer had the option.
What’s a real thing from your childhood that kids these days would find completely foreign?

Like, how we used to be able to walk right up to the gate to meet our family coming off a flight.

Or how we had to pick a spot to meet at the theater BEFORE we went.
