I can understand why React devs of course and JavaScript/TypeScript devs writ large would build native apps in React Native, but I think it's a no-brainer that everyone else should use KMP
💬 “The decision to adopt KMP three years ago has paid dividends in team growth, code quality, and business value. For teams considering a similar journey, our advice is simple: Start small, invest in your people, and be patient with the process.”

They're talking about the resiliency of Sam Darnold, which is true, but someone should talk about how Darnold proves that the #NFL is rife with inept player development. Imagine how many talented players washed out because idiot coaches ruined them before they could thrive elsewhere

There have been about four throws where if Darnold were a touch accurate this game would be over

💯 If Darnold leads him that's an easy touchdown
Gonzalez is terrific but that's 6 with a better throw

I have said for years that #NFL teams are inept at evaluating and developing young talent and that specifically overdrafting QBs, drafting them higher than their talent warrants just because they're QBs, is a bad idea borne of emotion rather than logic

These numbers seem to bear that out
There have been 58 QBs taken in the top 9 of the draft since 1990. Drake Maye can become the 3rd to win the Super Bowl as a starter with the team he debuted with:
Peyton Manning, No. 1 pick 1998, Colts
Eli Manning, No. 1 2004, Giants (draft day trade from Chargers)
February 8, 2026 at 10:48 PM
This is me when I know my team will not get the chance to draft where their record and lottery odds suggest they should draft

Then again, is it doomerism when I have always been right?
Are there sports guys on here who adopt the annoying too-savvy doomerism of politics guys? Saying stuff like "You really think there's going to be a second half"
if you see someone posting "I CANT BELIEVE IT, HOLY SHIT" or "THIS IS UN-FUCKING REAL" later this afternoon know with confidence it's either someone watching "the big game" or more evidence of elite wrongdoing uncovered in the unending global pedophile trafficking scandal

I have always considered Bezos to be the only first wave Big Tech billionaire to be actually smart, good at both tech and business. But he is an absolute piece of trash like the rest of them
Former Washington Post journalists have launched a GoFundMe to help repatriate fired staff members who are effectively stranded in foreign countries.

One of the richest men in the world fired them from the paper and didn’t even pay to ensure they got home.

Starmer has always been an embarrassment and now he is cooked. The question is if somehow Labour writ large can avoid being cooked
Keir Starmer's Chief of Staff Morgan McSweeney has resigned:

"The decision to appoint Peter Mandelson was wrong... I advised the Prime Minister to make that appointment and I take full responsibility for that advice."

RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."

True. This is an area where Gunn brings a more enlightened sensibility. He makes it clear DCU stuff is self-contained and fulfilling with beginning, middle, end. Getting context from other content (eg Lex's appearance in Peacemaker S2 after #Superman) enhances the experience but it isn't required
I've actually reversed my opinion on people who whine about every Marvel thing requiring you to have already watched 10 previous Marvel things and I've largely called that nonsense. Every film is a self-contained story and there's always enough context to get you up to the speed.

However...

For 20 years I have been waiting for one Beltway Media reporter to ask a Republican "Can you name two Lee Greenwood songs?"
I keep thinking about when Mike Johnson was asked about the NFL getting Bad Bunny to play the halftime show and he responded by saying they should find "someone who appeals to a broader audience" like... 82-year-old Lee Greenwood.

Really shows how much of a bubble the right lives in.
