I don’t watch football much anymore, but man watching that Super Bowl made me remember 2 things that made for a happy experience:

1) I LOVE watching dominant defensive performances
2) I still hate the Patriots

Now I desperately want a “Walk Hard”-style parody of Song Sung Blue with Andy Samberg and Elle Fanning

I want to believe, but it does like like Fincher doing Tarantino instead of being Fincher

So many people watching Ella McCay in the state they were born in!

So good!

This is Duolingo-style harassment

Apparently Sony Pictures won’t let Netflix put their movies on the ads plan (until next year), which excludes some great movies!

We had some yesterday, and the Weather app wasn’t even registering them, it’s like it was mocking us

Yes! This and the almost metal riffs in “The Eclipse,” which recognize like few others that an eclipse is the perhaps the most metal of natural phenomena

Might I suggest “film pére” and its most popular subgenre “film père divorcé”
We need to talk more about how Dad Cinema is just as much of a formulaic genre as noir or horror, for better and for worse. The best ones just hit the spot, using specific editing techniques, scoring, and story beats that come together (like Moneyball).

Phew, it’s tough enough in normal circumstances! I had it for one year, but intensive (equivalent of four semesters in two), but it was a blast! It’s still one of my favorite things to this day.

Rewatching Children of Men (2006), what a picture!

Depends on what you want in a margarita too, I used to like mine super simple, the bare essentials, but they have made great strides in nonalcoholic spirits like tequila and triple sec!

It’s a crime, i had to drive an hour! Which I’m not taking for granted.

So many bangers on this soundtrack!

Either the social media person hasn’t seen the movie, or HBO Max is trolling us, but this is a wild way to describe IF I HAD LEGS I’D KICK YOU (tbc, I like the movie a lot, and it is a lot!)

I listened to the soundtrack again last night, so many bangers!

This and the idea of “likable or unlikable” characters makes me want to become the joker

Eat your heart out, Tom Cruise

Good flick!

Finally caught up with Elio, or as I’m affectionately calling it “Contact For Kids”. Way better than I had heard!

So I’m guessing they were just repeating the standard talking points from when it was released?

Inside of me are two chairs

Excellent, also much more sophisticated than my Notes App checklist 😅

I couldn’t be mad about the nominations after I saw his name, I was too giddy. Crazy how good he’s been for so long with no nominations, just saw Da 5 Bloods and Crooklyn this year, so different and yet so good!
