I’m exhausted. But. My camellias are blooming. A feral cat I’ve been feeding lets me kiss him on his sweet forehead. More cardinals are visiting this year than last.

How about you?

Same here in my part of the SC Low Country. It’s 36F with 18F wind chill and I’m wondering where the heck I even am. It’s just stupid cold. I’m worried about the unhoused folks on a good day. This is just brutal.

I refuse to step a toe in Target. The only CVS in my town that can get my medication is the inside Target. I pay $5.99 each month to have a $10 prescription mailed just so I do t add to their foot traffic count. I’m living on social security, so adds up to real money for me. But f*ck them.

In 2008, a blogger named Curtis Yarvin called for a future president to kill foreign aid programs as part of a plan to replace democracy with dictatorship.

Now 600,000 people are dead—and 14 million will die by 2030, according to the Lancet. This is the running death toll of tech fascism.
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

I’ve not used one — I can’t stand for very long because I have POTS — but I love Jelliebend Body. Sitting up without slouching over is just about impossible for my EDS body. Jellibend has really helped. Less fatigue & pain as the day goes on, plus it provides compression for POTS.

I just cannot imagine being underneath that monster. Last year we had a hail storm that came in sideways. 85mph wind for 20 minutes. The noise was deafening and absolutely unnerving. I just cannot imagine enduring a storm like this.

Kinda reminds this granddaughter of Irish immigrants who survived the Great Famine of how the English would feed the starving Irish if the agreed to convert to Protestantism in exchange for a bowl of soup.

"It is also unclear why the military did not interdict the boat instead of blowing it up. In the past, the Coast Guard and even the U.S. Navy have interdicted boats bound for the United States with drugs, detaining and prosecuting the crew."

It's not a CG standard to blow up boats, even w/ drugs...
You know that boat the administration blew up? A former law enforcement official told the NYT the boat seemed to be carrying not drugs but *’migrants *
