I don't know why people think social media is a place for disagreements, at all. We can't have a disagreement without first having a shared understanding of facts. If you're a stranger, there's no reason for me to assume we share that understanding. That's why so many people "misread" then attack.
Today's experience confirms my fear that BlueSky is just another filter bubble where people pile onto anyone who disagrees with the orthodoxy. It's like an equal-but-opposite X.
