Israel replacing Jewish identity is nothing new, but it is more widespread than ever.
Nationalism was a great way for non-religious Jews (like Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, the reviver of Hebrew) to have an identity without being religious because they hated religion & spirituality.

A good example of how being pro-Israel has for some completely replaced their Jewish identity, and has thus made them blind to antisemitism from even the most dangerous sources.

Los Angeles is more ecologically & topographically diverse than you can imagine. It isn’t just a concrete jungle. We have forests & chaparral & meadows & creeks & ponds & flora & fauna — deer, cougars, bobcats, ring tailed cats, hawks, falcons — so much magic in its soil that is currently burning.
