Very tall.
Disasters bring out the best and worst of humanity. Be careful out there.
If you've been affected by the LA fires, be aware: scammers often pose as contractors. Here's some red flags to watch for:

* Coming door-to-door
* Asking to be paid in cash only
* Trying to rush you into a contract
* Not having a license or insurance in your state
* Asking for personal info

In 2025 (less than 30 days away), PayPal will start selling your transaction history for targeted advertising.

I very highly recommend logging into your account and going to Settings > Data & Privacy > Personalized Shopping.

If you're reading this, turn that off RIGHT NOW before you forget.

My insurance has been great so far. But you know why? I have good coverage, yes, but more importantly, breast cancer is Very Common. (And Stanford clearly teaches their doctors how to argue with insurance.)

I'm obviously super grateful but also so, so mad-- it should be like this for everyone.
People who are mostly healthy, or sick with "standard"* sorts of illnesses comparing notes on healthcare plans is gonna make me lose my marbles man.

Once again, my family has underestimated my willingness to commit to the bit, and so now we are having matryoshka squash for Thanksgiving. (You'd think they would learn someday. They have not.)

The real question: is the big blue and pink boy in back a Hubbard, a Queensland blue, or something else??

I see a lot of you still sharing posts from the obviously fake Count Dracula account, so please be aware:

- the real Count would never post during daylight hours in Romania

- his full given name is Vlad, not Vladimir

- he does not actually say “blah” and would never write it out in a post

Ok, is this the kind of place yet where I could find an expert in either prototaxites or lichen who could answer some mildly absurd hypotheticals in service of some #soilpunk climate fiction?! It's a. (very unimportant but rather urgent) #fungi emergency 😅

Say what you will about parenting advice from Insta, but my kid is 2.5 & just stopped *herself* from having a tantrum by explaining to her baby fox that it is "okay to be frustrated at your mommy or daddy sometimes". She is better at emotional regulation than most adults I know 😭
